Honors

  • In May 2023, I received the Chaplaincy Leadership Award in recognition of “Outstanding Service, Commitment and Leadership” at the Boston University School of Theology (5/3/2023)

  • I was the recipient of a full academic scholarship and a merit-based stipend for the 3-year MDiv program at Boston University School of Theology (BUSTH)

  • In the fall of 2022, I was appointed Director of Chaplaincy Group at BUSTH in the Fall of 2022, working alongside the renowned Theologian and Trauma Expert Dr. Shelley Rambo

  • I received a full scholarship for the Master of Education Program at Boston University based on academic excellence

  • I was promoted to the position of High School Cluster Coordinator at Franciscan Children’s Hospital where additional responsibilities included supervising and evaluating staff

  • I was recognized for excellence in project-based learning where students undertook a philanthropic cause every year to help those less privileged. Examples are the Million Penny project in 2015 to support an elementary school student from Westwood with Neuroblastoma http://www.thecantoncitizen.com/2015/07/03/million-penny-letter/; the SOS Project (Save Our Schools) where fifty boxes of school supplies were sent to schools in Puerto Rico following Hurricane Maria (http://www.thecantoncitizen.com/2018/01/20/gms-puerto-rico/

  • In the school year 2018-19, I helped start the Gender and Sexuality Alliance Club (GSA) at the Galvin Middle School for LGBTQ+ youth and allies with the goal of creating a safe, supportive, and welcoming school for all

  • I served as an Advisor to the Diversity and Cultural Heritage Committee to celebrate differences throughout the school district

  • In 2023 I was appointed the PR Co-Chair of North American Hindu Chaplains Association
